Fertilizers and weed killers

Also, beware of fertilizers and weed killers; they can be extremely toxic if ingested by your pet. Always opt for pet-safe or organic products to keep your furry friends out of harm’s way. If you think that your pet has ingested a poisonous plant, make sure to call us as soon as possible at 919-620-7387. The sooner that we can treat your pet, the better the chances are for a full recovery.

It is important to look out for symptoms such as vomiting, diarrhea, excessive drooling, and possibly respiratory distress. In addition to us as your vet, a good resource to be familiar with is the Pet Poison Helpline. This is a service that is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
